• JusRen.com 3.0

  • This is the third re-design of my website. I never really noticed it, but you can see that the colour scheme is somewhat similar to JR 1.0, I guess this is just one of those examples where your previous work can inspire you to take your current skills and magnify them into a better product. This time around however, I wanted to try my hand at using HTML5 and CSS3 and see where its' capabilities would take me. Thanfully, I was not disappointed (and I hope you aren't neither!)

  • For the second re-make of my website, I wanted to use it as part of my course Final Year Project. Before I started, I decided to implement a number of things that I picked up on my own and combine it with what I learnt from my work-experience . Starting the project I wanted to use a grid based layout with a simplistic minimal design along with a sensible UI to present the user with a straightforward and informative website. I can definitely say that I enjoyed working on this project as it gave me the chance to manifest my skills and knowledge as well as allowing me to take into consideration designing for a wider audience and catering to their wide variety of requirements.

  • This was where I first started! Where textures, bright colours and curvy type was all that fascinated me! When I created this site, I wanted to gauge my skills at the time and see what I needed to work on, and looking back at it now I definitely had a lot to work on. I enjoyed creating my website as it definitely set me on the route to becoming a web and graphic designer/ developer.

  • I was asked to design flyers that would be used to give to customers which would entitle them to 5% off their next visit with the flyer. As you can see, I used the winter blue and white together with a banzai background to draw attention to the center text. For a little more decor I had the idea of hanging the design brands to give the flyer more of a festive feeling!

  • Time

  • Another piece of my Final Year Project, as a university student I wanted to portray how time affects us all and that every individual has a different perception on what time is and how they are affected by it. Out of my website and motion typography this trailer was (by far) the most challenging, this was because of the way I wanted to portray my understanding of time and I knew that it would be difficult. I chose to present my understanding of time as an abstract trailer. This allowed me to express what I thought of time and how we have no control over it no matter what and that we should always make the most of it.
