Renato Quirona

Me I am a 21 year old aspiring web designer and developer, on this site you will find that I have kept a blog where I log my daily thoughts about any projects that I'm working on or just plainly brainstorm with new layouts and designs/ concepts. As I improve and gain more experience I want to be able to offer a wide range of articles on my blog with tutorials, design tips and links to useful web-sites that have helped me develop where designers and developers alike will be able to benefit as well.

At the moment I am currently on a placement year from Kingston University where I am studying Media Technology (Full Field), studying on this course has exposed me to new applications to work with such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Flash and much much more. When I'm not at work I am working on this website and developing my skils with CSS, HTML/ XHTML with the use of applications such as Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator (just picked it up) and Topstyle. My future career plan besides providing web design/ development services is to studdy Visual Communications so that I can illustrate my ideas and concepts a lot more thoroughly.

Aim

Once I've finished university I aim to set myself up as a web designer and developer, maintaining this website is something that I've taken on as a form of constant "homework" to help me develop and progress my skills and working methods even further. I've also set up a blog to track my journey and share my thoughts/ ideas with the world.

Education

As previously mentioned, I am studying Media Technology (Full-Field) at Kingston University, I am currently of a gap year working at The Royal College of General Practitioners as a Web Content Support Officer, I will be resuming my fourth and final year at Kingston next year September.

Studying at Media Technology has introduced me many new applications I thought I would never be able to use such as: Adobe Photoshop (learning how to use more features), Adobe Flash (learning how to use Actionscript and Animation), Adobe Premiere Pro (learning how to edit video and sound), After Effects and Combustion (both of these are used for adding further video effects during post-production editing and much more.
